Record Store Day, labels reveal releases for Back To Black Friday

Picture discs, box sets, colored vinyl 7-, 10- and 12-inch vinyl records: There’s something for just about every music collector planned for release on Back To Black Friday.

Surfaris Wipe out Surfer Joe Picture SleeveA variety of artists and labels have teamed up to produce special releases that will either be entirely exclusive to participating independent stores, or an advance release available only to indie shops on Nov. 29, 2013. The event is promoted by Record Store Day.

Offerings will vary from shop to shop, as stores order their own stock directly from distributors. While Record Store Day helps to promote the Black Friday event, it doesn’t possess or distribute the releases.

As of Oct. 24, 2013, the following releases have been announced for the 2013 Back to Black Friday event; they are divided according to format. Some listings appear in more than one category (i.e. a picture disc may also show up in the 12-inch record list, and  releases may be duplicated in the colored vinyl section as well as the format section).
