Alexander Autographs has nearly 2,000 lots for sale at its upcoming event, which will be held June 16 and 17. Lots 1-642 will be sold on June 16, with 643-1,936 sold on June 17, according to Jake Jacobs of the Stamford, Conn., firm.

Auction JacketGarcia-01-01.jpgAmong the more unique items is Lot 1,644: A black leather motorcycle jacket autographed by 25 musicians, horror movie and entertainment greats. Signers include: the Grateful Dead?s Jerry Garcia and Bob Weir; KISS founders Ace Frehley, Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons; Motley Crue members Tommy Lee, Vince Neil, Mick Mars and Nikki Sixx; Billy Idol; Ozzy Osboure; Slash of Guns ‘n Roses fame; and Dee Dee Ramone.

The size medium men?s jacket, which has been worn, has plenty of room for more signatures. The jacket?s estimated auction value is $1,500 to $2,000.

Another newsworthy item is the original manuscript for the ?Star Trek? Theme Song with Unknown Variants by Alexander Courage. The eight-page musical manuscript was the original draft for the opening fanfare ?Space! the Final
Frontier!…? and theme to the ?Star Trek? television series, ?Where No Man Has Gone Before.?

Worth an estimated $35,000 to $40,000, the manuscript was written for the original pilots of the series in 1964 and 1965. It includes detailed notes on instrumentation, revisions and more.

If sheet music isn?t your thing, there are plenty of other pop culture items up for sale. Highlights include a dress owned and worn by Marilyn Monroe, which came from the estate of baseball executive/writer/broadcaster Frank Slocum; the estate of renowned American magician Joseph Dunninger; a signed wedding photograph of John F. and Jacqueline Kennedy; and President Ronald Reagan?s annotated farewell speech at the 1988 Republican National Convention.
