Elvis tribute artist contest seeks modern-day heirs to the King's throne

Break out your jumpsuits, capes and lamb-chop style sideburns. The Honky Tonk Hall of Fame & Rock-N-Roll Roadshow will be producing an Elvis Tribute Artists contest for Soaring Eagle Casino in Mt. Pleasant, Mich., June 7-11.


Tribute Artists are invited to compete for cash and prizes offered. The Grand Prize will be $2,500 cash from Soaring Eagle Casino.

Tribute Artists will be asked to perform for the casino crowd with a Grammy Award-winning ensemble of musicians on June 9.

Guest judges to be announced will participate in determining the Soaring Eagle Elvis Tribute Artist for 2007, the 30th anniversary of Elvis’ death.

Included during the Soaring Eagle Casino Event, The Honky Tonk Hall of Fame will be exhibiting authentic Elvis and Country Music Artifacts such as stage clothing, personal effects, instruments and awards from Elvis’s career, from Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline, Buck Owens, HEE HAW, Hank Williams, Loretta Lynn and contemporaries such as Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood and Brooks & Dunn, to name a few.
