John Densmore booked for interview and reading at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

By Chris M. Junior

Doors drummer John Densmore, a 1993 inductee into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, will participate in an event at the Cleveland institution May 1 as part of its Hall of Fame series.

Densmore will read from his new book, “The Doors: Unhinged,” then be interviewed by Lauren Onkey, who is the Rock Hall’s vice president of education and public programs. He’ll also answer questions from the audience and sign copies of his book. Subtitled “Jim Morrison’s Legacy Goes on Trial,” “The Doors: Unhinged” chronicles the court case that had Densmore and the Morrison estate on one side and Ray Manzarek and Robby Krieger on the other.

This event is free; reservations can be made online or by visiting the Rock Hall’s box office.  Rock Hall members can do so starting at 10 a.m. ET on April 15, followed by the general public starting at 10 a.m. ET on April 16.
