PJ Harvey does live session for Absolute Radio

PJ Harvey was interviewed and performed three songs from her Mercury Prize nominated album Let England Shake on Absolute Radio recently. The session and interview can now be heard on demand on Absolute Radio’s Web site.

PJ Harvey has done an interview with DJ Geoff Lloyd and an excellent three-song live session for Absolute Radio, which now can be heard on the station’s Web site at http://www.absoluteradio.co.uk/player/PJ-Harvey/9075/Live-music.html. The session and interview, which clock in at about 20 minutes, will be available for on-demand listening until Thursday, September 8th.

Harvey performed three songs in the session from her Mercury Prize-nominated album Let England Shake: the title track, “The Words That Maketh Murder,” and “The Last Living Rose.” (The 2011 Mercury Prize will be awarded on Tuesday, September 6th, in London. BBC 6 Music will be broadcasting a 60-minute program on Harvey’s Let England Shake album in the near future as part of their series The Complete Mercurys. Harvey resumes her tour in support of Let England Shake on Friday, September 2nd in Stradbally, Ireland. She’s got two big London shows coming up on October 30th and 31st at Royal Albert Hall.
