Rising pop star Pixie Lott appears on BBC America’s Graham Norton Show

by John Curley—Pixie Lott, the 19-year-old from Essex, England who is one of Britain’s biggest rising pop stars, recently appeared on the season premiere on the UK talk program The Graham Norton Show. The episode aired this past Saturday night on BBC America. To watch Lott sing the track “My Love” from her best-selling debut album Turn It Up, click above.

During Lott’s interview segment on the program, Norton stated that her album has already sold over 500,000 copies. That’s a pretty remarkable figure considering that the album has not even been released in America. Lott said in her interview that she will be coming to America soon, but did not say when. Her album does not have an American release date yet. The album was released last September in the UK and currently sits at number 15 in the UK album charts after 31 weeks on the chart.

Lott’s first two singles—“Mama Do” and “Boys and Girls”—both went to number one in the UK singles chart straight out of the box. Her current single, “Gravity,” is at number 33 on the UK singles chart after 10 weeks in the chart.

Lott received a big promotional push when her album was released in the UK last year. Expect the same when it comes out in America. I don’t think it’s going to be long before she is a big star in America. Watch this space.
