Up-and-coming London-based quartet The Vaccines recently visited the Leicester Square studios of XFM London to play a session for the station. The band was also interviewed by XFM London DJ Steve Harris.

The Vaccines performed four songs in the session: “Wreckin’ Bar,” “Post Break-Up Sex,” “If You Wanna,” and “Nørgaard.” To listen to the session and interview, go to http://www.xfm.co.uk/news/2011/an-evening-with-the-vaccines and click the individual audio links.

Often compared to The Strokes, The Vaccines are the real deal. I saw The Vaccines’ United States live debut at New York City’s Bowery Ballroom in January of this year, and they are fantastic in concert. They’re definitely a band to pay attention to.

The Vaccines’ debut album, What Did You Expect From The Vaccines?, is being released on March 14th in the UK. There is no American release date yet.
