If you want your backyard to look like it’s right off the interstate, this “billboard” can be yours for a million dollars.
Here’s the seller’s eBay pitch:
THIS AUCTION IS FOR THE ONE AND ONLY BILLBOARD THAT WAS PRINTED FOR THE KISS REUNION TOUR NOVEMBER 2 1996 AT THE LAS VEGAS MGM GRAND. THE BILLBOARD WAS PRINTED IN TWO SECTIONS THE MAIN SECTION IS 14 X 48 FEET AND THE DATE SECTION IS 4 X 48 FEET. IT IS SO LARGE THAT I HAD TO UNROLL IT ON THE ROOF OF A LARGE BUILDING AND TAKE THE PHOTOS FROM A BUCKET BOOM. THE ROOF CAUSED THE LINES IN THE PHOTO.THE BILLBOARD IS PRINTED ON VINYL AND IS IN PERFECT CONDITION. IT COMES IN ITS ORIGINAL PACKING TUBE WHERE IT HAS BEEN STORED FOR 11 YEARS.
The best part about this whole thing is that the seller is the owner of a store for “metaphysical supplies.” I can think of many words to describe KISS memorabilia but metaphysical never comes to mind.
Bottom line: Someone is looking for a big pay day.* There have been five offers. One was declined. The rest have expired.
Even if you have the million dollars to blow, first you have to take out your Gene Simmons calculator.
Would this be a good investment by his standards? Would he pay this price?
I think you know the answer.
*and the winner of this item does not get a guest appearance on Family Jewels as a door prize.
