Gaming firm announces Dolly Parton-themed machines

Dolly Parton’s latest endeavor is taking the “Backwoods Barbie” singer out of her familiar Tennessee territory and into casinos.

The singer, songwriter, musician and actress has teamed up with International Game Technology on a series of three signature games: Dolly Parton® Video Slots; Two Doors Down Spinning Reels and Nine to Five Spinning Reels. The games will feature interactive jukebox-style song selections of Parton’s chart-topping hits, with Parton cheering the player along.

The machines are set to be unveiled October 2-4 at the Global Gaming Expo.

“As you know, I love doing lots of different things and this is the most different thing that I’ve done so far,” she said. “I’m very excited to be working with IGT with my very own video slot machines and five-reel spinning reel games. Wanna play? Well, come on!”

One of country music’s wealthiest stars, Parton has had several business ventures beyond entertaining, including a dinner theater and Dollywood theme and water parks in Pigeon Forge, Tenn.; a signature line of wigs with Revlon; and Sandollar Productions film and TV production company.
