24-hour streaming event highlights ‘Concert For George’

George Harrison’s YouTube channel is celebrating the life and music of the man also known as the “Quiet Beatle.”

The “Concert For George” documentary film will be streamed for 24 hours beginning at 7 a.m. PST Nov. 29, 2012. Harrison died of cancer Nov. 29, 2001 at age 58.

The “Concert For George” documentary film streaming event will be offered for a 24-hour period starting at 7 a.m. PST Nov. 29, 2012.

On the first anniversary of his death, Harrison was honored by family (wife Olivia and son Dhani), close friends and fellow musicians including Eric Clapton, Jeff Lynne, Tom Petty, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Billy Preston, Joe Brown and Ravi Shankar, who gathered at London’s Royal Albert Hall to perform Harrison’s music. Proceeds from that event benefited Harrison’s Material World Foundation.
