The second edition of the An Acoustic Café Evening tour, an offshoot of the syndicated radio show “Acoustic Café,” will begin Feb. 13 and feature acclaimed singer/songwriters Erin McKeown, Carrie Rodriguez and Mary Gauthier.
“We’re thrilled to have Carrie and Erin returning to the Acoustic Cafe Evening Tour,” said Rob Reinhart, producer and host of the radio program, in a news release issued Jan. 5. “And Mary Gauthier has been a guest on the show many times over the years … These artists represent precisely what ‘Acoustic Café’ is all about.”
McKeown’s latest album is 2010’s “Hundreds of Lions,” and she’s been a guest on releases by 10,000 Maniacs, Dar Williams and Martin Sexton. Rodriguez, who used to play violin for Chip Taylor (best known for writing the Troggs hit “Wild Thing”), released the album “Love and Circumstance” last year. On Feb. 1, look for “We Still Love Our Country,” a duets album of covers and originals performed by Rodriguez and Ben Kyle. As for Gauthier (who appeared on the last Indigo Girls album, “Holly Happy Days”), her most recent solo album is “The Foundling.”
