Adele lines up TV appearances, spring North American tour

In support of her second album, “21” (due Feb. 22 on Columbia Records), British soul singer Adele will hit the road for a spring North American tour that will begin May 12 in Washington, D.C.

Other stops include Boston (May 15), New York (May 19), Chicago (May 24), San Francisco (June 4) and Los Angeles (June 9).

Tickets go on sale to the general public Feb. 11; a ticket presale begins at noon ET on Feb. 9 via www.adele.tv.

Look for Adele to make a series of U.S. TV appearances this month to promote her new album, which features the song “Rolling in the Deep.” Her schedule includes the “Today” show (Feb. 18), “Late Show With David Letterman” (Feb. 21) and “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” (Feb. 24).
