The Allman Brothers Band will be peakin’ at the Beacon a little longer this year than originally planned.

The legendary group has added five shows — March 21, 22, 24, 25 and 26 — to its regular run at the intimate New York venue. The ABB’s other Beacon dates for 2011 are March 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, 17, 18 and 19.

Tickets for the five added shows will go on sale Jan. 8 through Livenation.com, ticketmaster.com, select Ticketmaster locations and by calling (866) 858-0008. Tickets can also be purchased at the Beacon Theatre box office starting Jan. 10.
