Black Crowes announce fall tour dates for ‘Lay Down With Number 13′

The Black Crowes have announced a new leg of U.S. dates for the band’s “Lay Down With Number 13” tour.

A variety of headline dates and festival and special event shows are planned. This news comes as the band is gearing up for its co-headlining tour with the Tedeschi Trucks Band which runs from July 19 in Nashville, Tenn., through Aug. 15 in Rochester Hills, Mich.

The Black Crowes ended a two-year hiatus when the band kicked off its “Lay Down With Number 13” tour March 24, 2013, with five sold-out U.K. shows. The band has been flying high since in the U.S. and in Europe, where the Crowes performed June 18 to July 6, including headlining shows, festivals and two stadium concerts with Bruce Springsteen.

As always, The Black Crowes — comprised of Chris Robinson (lead vocals, guitar), Rich Robinson (guitar, vocals), Steve Gorman (drums), Sven Pipien (bass), Adam MacDougall (keyboards) and new member Jackie Greene (guitar, vocals) — will deep inside their songbook and extensive catalog for this tour. The artists perform greatly varied set lists and establish a deep bond with their audiences.

BlackCrowes_WiserForTheTimeWith album sales of more than 35 million, The Black Crowes are known as one of rock’s best live acts; their powerful live performances are captured on the band’s latest release “Wiser For The Time,” a four-disc vinyl box set via Silver Arrow/Megaforce Records that features 26 songs (15 acoustic and 11 electric) from the band’s five-night, sold out New York City performances from 2010. A digital download version also is available.
