“Forgiveness Rock Record” will be released May 4th, 2010. The album was co-produced by the band and John McEntire of Tortoise at Soma Studios in Chicago with additional recording at Giant Studio and The Schvitz Studio in Toronto.
It has been over 5 years since we last heard a full-length record from the band and from what I have heard so far…it is well worth the wait. The album has guest appearances by indie greats such as Emily Haines from Metric, Amy Millan from Stars, and members from the Sea and Cake, Tortoise and Do Make Say Think.
The first single, World Sick, comes in at almost 7-minutes and is the perfect opening track for the record. The standout tracks for me so far are “Art House Director,” “All to All” and “Sentimental X’s.” Get your hands on a copy of the cd when it comes out or better yet they are releasing it as a 2 record LP. Available at fine record stores or from the bands label, Arts & Crafts records.
