Ex-Yardbirds Clapton, Beck to play together again

Eric Clapton will join Jeff Beck on tour for select dates.

The pair of former Yardbirds and Rock and Roll Hall of Famers will play London’s O2 Arena Feb. 13 and 14; New York’s Madison Square Garden on Feb. 18 and 19; Toronto’s Air Canada Center on Feb. 21; and Montreal’s Bell Centre on Feb. 22.

Clapton and Beck will play separately before taking the stage to perform together, according to a news release from Rhino Entertainment’s Atco Records.

After the shows with Clapton, Beck will play South Korea, Hon Kong, Australia and Japan before returning to America for the U.S. Leg of his tour in mid-April. He is scheduled to appear at the New Orleans Jazz Festival on May 1.

Beck’s new album, Emotion & Commotion, drops April 13 on Atco Records. It is his first studio album in seven years and features two songs with Grammy winner Joss Stone and several tracks accompanied by a 64-piece orchestra.
