In The News: Rhino to remaster iconic Family Dog images

Rhino Entertainment has struck a deal with The Family Dog Presents to remaster classic images from legendary 1960s concert promoter. The deal includes worldwide rights to some of the most famous and historically significant rock concert posters of all time. Rhino will launch the line with the release of 18 limited-edition remastered lithographs of some of the most notable and recognizable Family Dog posters, including Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane, The Doors, Quicksilver Messenger Service and Big Brother and The Holding Company. The pieces feature the work of influential artists who became known as the “San Francisco Five” — Victor Moscoso, Wes Wilson, Alton Kelley, Stanley Mouse and Rick GriffinTRIBUTES… A stamp and a documentary are part of plans to celebrate the 2008 centennial of the late Louie Jordan, the famed 1940s vocalist, band leader and saxophonist and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee.
