Kris Kristofferson

One legend will be replacing another at this year’s Stagecoach festival, taking place April 30 and May 1 in Indio, Calif.

Kris Kristofferson is set to take the slot originally held by Loretta Lynn, who recently canceled the first few weeks of her 2011 tour due to her recovery from knee surgery.

Kristofferson performed in 2007 at the first Stagecoach festival; other performers scheduled for the 2011 edition include Kenny Chesney, Leon Russell, The Gourds, Rodney Crowell, Carrie Underwood and Darius Rucker.
