Radio show offers contest for best Pink Floyd cover

WINOOSKI, VT —”Floydian Slip,” a syndicated radio program devoted to British rock band Pink Floyd, has announced “Surrogate Bands: The Pink Floyd Cover Contest.”

Musicians are invited to submit their own recordings of Pink Floyd songs. Host Craig Bailey will feature the winning entry on a special episode of “Floydian Slip” and award the winner $250 in merchandise from Boston Acoustics.

The winning entry will be broadcast on “Floydian Slip” #795, an episode titled “Surrogate Bands,” which will consist entirely of other artists’ recordings of Pink Floyd songs.

Bailey aired his first episode of “Floydian Slip” in 1989 on Ithaca College’s 106-VIC in Ithaca, N.Y., when he was a senior broadcasting major.
