Richie Havens is out on the road to support his new album, Nobody Left to Crown.
The album, which was released on Verve Records in summer 2008, is Havens’ 30th.
Havens first emerged from the Greenwich Village folk scene in the early 1960s. For more than three decades, Havens has used his music to covney messages of brotherhood and personal freedom.
"I really sing songs that move me. I’m not in show business; I’m in the communications business. That’s what it’s about for me," Havens said in an interview with The Denver Post.
