Ronnie Spector

Ronnie Spector (The Ronettes) and La La Brooks (The Crystals) are among the scheduled in-studio guests during a special night of music programming airing June 4 on THIRTEEN (WNET), PBS’ New York-area station.

As part of its June pledge drive, THIRTEEN will be airing TJL Productions’ “My Music” series, which celebrates music from the 1950s and early 1960s. It begins at 6 p.m. ET on June 4 with “My Music: Moments to Remember,” with longtime New York DJ Bruce “Cousin Brucie” Morrow as one of the in-studio guests.

That will be followed at 8:30 p.m. ET by “My Music: Rock, Pop & Doo Wop” with studio guests Spector, Brooks and Herb Cox of The Cleftones. Last but not least will be the debut broadcast of the concert special “Rockin’ ‘N Rollin’ in NYC,” airing at 11 p.m. ET and featuring performances by Spector, The Cleftones, Jay Black, The Chiffons and others that were taken from bonus “Rock, Pop & Doo Wop” footage.
