The band begins a package tour with Buffalo Springfield and The Strawberry Alarm Clock, which is canceled after four dates in the wake of the assassination of 39-year-old Martin Luther King, Jr. on April 4.
Reprise Records will release Neil Young Archives Vol. 1 1963-1972 in three different formats June 2: Blu-ray, DVD and CD. The Blu-ray edition uses an interactive platform with music, video and text, and allows for material to be added later via the internet.
68-year-old Dewey Martin, the steady percussive hand behind the drums in Buffalo Springfield, one of the most legendary 1960s rock bands, died Feb. 1 at his Van Nuys, Calif., apartment. The cause of death, while not made public, appears to be natural.
