Buffalo Springfield reunion tour begins June 1

Buffalo Springfield’s reunion tour will begin June 1 at the Fox Theater in Oakland, Calif.

Currently, the itinerary consists of seven dates: two each in Oakland (June 1-2), Los Angeles (June 4-5) and Santa Barbara, Calif. (June 7-8), plus an appearance at the Bonnaroo festival in Manchester, Tenn., on June 11.

In addition to singer/guitarists Neil Young, Stephen Stills and Richie Furay, the current Buffalo Springfield lineup features bassist Rick Rosas (filling in for the late Bruce Palmer) and drummer Joe Vitale (for the late Dewey Martin).

Tickets for the six California shows (which will feature Gillian Welch as the opening act) go on sale March 30. Additional concert dates will be announced in the weeks to come.

Neil Young maps out spring solo tour

Neil Young, fresh from his Grammy Award win for Best Rock Song (“Angry World”), will begin a spring U.S. tour April 15 at Durham PAC in Durham, N.C., Reprise Records announced today (March 7).

Young’s other scheduled stops include Boston (the Wang Theatre on April 19 and 20), New York (Avery Fisher Hall on April 24 and 25) and Chicago (the Chicago Theatre on May 6 and 7).

Buffalo Springfield booked for Bonnaroo 2011

The reunited Buffalo Springfield, featuring original members Neil Young, Stephen Stills and Richie Furay, has been booked to play this year’s Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, taking place June 9-12 in Manchester, Tenn.

Tickets go on sale at noon ET on Feb. 19 through the official Bonnaroo site.

Other scheduled performers include Gregg Allman, My Morning Jacket, Eminem, Wanda Jackson, The Black Keys, Robyn, The Strokes and Amos Lee.

Rock Hall announces its presenters for 2011 inductions


The Rock and Rock Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony is to take place on March 14th at 8:30pm EST at The Waldorf-Astoria in New York, NY.

Ceremony to air exclusively on Fuse Sunday, March 20 at 9pm ET

Here are the artists who will induct this year’s honorees:
