The first show of this year’s Bridge School benefit concerts, starring Neil Young, Carlos Santana and others, will be broadcast live on YouTube and Facebook.

The concert, to be held at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, Calif., will begin at 5 p.m. PT on Oct. 22.

A second 2011 Bridge School benefit show is set for Oct. 23. Performers scheduled to hit the stage this weekend for one or both concerts include Beck, Tony Bennett, Eddie Vedder, Dave Matthews and Foo Fighters.

Co-organized by Young, the Bridge School benefit concerts have been held annually since 1986, except for 1987. The nonprofit Bridge School, based in Hillsborough, Calif., assists children with severe speech and physical impairments.
