“If It Wasn’t for Bad,” the first single from the upcoming Leon Russell/Elton John album, “The Union,” will be released Aug. 24 through iTunes and other digital retailers.

The Russell-penned song features vocals by both piano greats; it’s one of 14 songs on the T Bone Burnett-produced “The Union,” which is due Oct. 19 from Decca Records.
