Neil Young has announced four Gulf Coast concert dates for September, with proceeds from unique, limited-edition Young T-shirts available only at those shows going to the Bay Area Food Bank.

Here are the dates and locations for Young's Gulf Coast shows, followed by ticket sale dates:

* Sept. 20: Marina Civic Center, Panama City, Fla. (10 a.m. ET on Aug. 13)

* Sept. 25: IP Showroom, Biloxi, Miss. (on sale now)

* Sept. 26: Saenger Theatre, Mobile, Ala. (10 a.m. CT on Aug. 14)

* Sept. 28: Saenger Theatre, Pensacola, Fla. (10 a.m. CT on Aug. 14)

Young also has joined forces with his friend John Tyson, chairman of Tyson Foods Inc. The company will donate 100,000 pounds of chicken products to be distributed to the Bay Area Food Bank, which serves Central Gulf Coast communities in Alabama, Florida and Mississippi. Young also is asking concert-goers to bring nonperishable food items, which will be given to the food bank.

“Millions of people who live along the Gulf Coast struggle with hunger, and the economic impact of the [BP] oil spill has only made matters worse,” Young said in a statement released Aug. 12. “I appreciate the willingness of John Tyson and his company to get involved by helping the regional food bank help feed those in need. We both encourage concert-goers to spend money locally and support local business.”
