In addition to being the longtime home of the 76ers and Flyers, the Spectrum in Philadelphia presented its share of concerts by a wide range of musicians.
The list includes Sly and the Family Stone and the Grateful Dead, and Spectrum items connected to both acts are up for auction now through Quaker City Auctioneers.
Bids are being accepted for a plexi-framed poster (shown) from a Sly and the Family Stone show at the Spectrum (the poster was displayed in the arena’s executive office hallway), as well as three different Jerry Garcia photos that were displayed in various parts of the venue.
The auction, which also includes photos of Bruce Springsteen, Jon Bon Jovi, Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler and others, ends at 9 p.m. ET on Oct. 17. For more information, click here.
Demolition of the Spectrum is expected to begin in November and take about five weeks, according to The Associated Press.
