We're listing some more test pressings again and this time the proceeds will be going to Best Friends, a fantastic organization that helps animals. It's a great way to help a good cause and make space in our office. Unlike some labels In The Red has never made large quantities of test pressings in order to sell them. 6. $1,579.78 — Jumble Lane, Self-Titled

Record Label: Holyground HG 115

Format: Vinyl 12″ LP 33 rpm

Release Year: 1971

Special Attributes: Limited run

Record Grading: VG+

Sleeve Grading: Generic

Bids: 5

Seller’s Comments: Jumble Lane (Holyground HG 115, no sleeve, 1971) Side 1 stamper GCR14A2 -Side 2 GCR14B This record comes in a white sleeve. The actual record is a very good +, a pleasure to listen to with faint crackles when quiet. The record has slight spindle wear.Folk/Pop/Rock/Lounge/Psychedelic. Rarest on this sought after UK private label, related to Astral Navigations, mix of styles with acid folk (some lovely female vocals), fuzzy acid rock and bizarre elements - a bit of an acid classic. Originally released on the fabled Holyground label and record in 1971 by students who later went onto work with Bill Nelson and other Holyground acts. No copies came with sleeves, only 99 copies made. Marcia (occasional vocals, guitar), Linda King (occasional vocals, guitar), Tina Barnes (washboard). This is a real gem - Mixing elements of folk, jazz into a progressive and sometimes psychedelic stew, the album is brilliantly creative, sometimes surprising and a pleasure to listen to. Of all the albums issued on the celebrated Holyground label, Jumble Lane (released in a run of 99 copies) is certainly the strangest. Jumble Lane was not really a band per se, but a collective of musicians from a Yorkshire college, working in various permutations on the different tracks (a little like York Pop Music Project), which may explain the schizophrenic overall sound. The album opens with a couple of excellently played classical guitar themes, but quickly enters much weirder waters, trawling through folk, heavy psychedelia, blues, skiffle and even lounge (a quarter of a century before it became fashionable), mixing them up in increasingly bizarre combinations.

5. $1,600.00 — Johnny Cash (Promotional Interview)

Genre: Country

Format: Vinyl 10″ LP

Special Attributes: Promo

Record Grading: NA

Sleeve Grading: NA

Seller’s Comments: An open-ended radio interview on a 10" vinyl. The RAREST record of them all.Not even the COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME is aware of this record, but that is where it will end up if unsold. In 1969, the movie THE MAN, HIS WORLD, HIS MUSIC was released to a few theatres.A few of those theatres had agreements with THE WALTER READE ORGANIZATION.The few radio stations that were in those markets were sent this record along with a CUE SHEET(not available)so the announcer could read the questions and JOHNNY CASH would respond from this recording. To my knowledge, this may be the only record left from this promotion.
