Renowned rock photographer Mark Weiss will be releasing the hardcover book, The Decade That Rocked: The Photography of Mark "Weissguy" Weiss on June 2, 2020, via Insight Editions.
Authored by Richard Bienstock with a foreword by Judas Priest vocalist Rob Halford and an afterword by radio personality Eddie Trunk, well-known rock photographer Mark Weiss showcases his photography in an exciting and entertaining way within 378 pages.
Covering the images of ‘80s arena rock pantheon, from KISS to Bon Jovi, Weiss puts his talent with the camera eye on display in The Decade That Rocked. In fact, Mark Weiss's credits include Mötley Crüe’s first appearance in a national publication, Oui Magazine in 1982, countless magazine covers and spreads worldwide, and the iconic imagery for many multiplatinum albums including Bon Jovi’s Slippery When Wet and Twisted Sister’s Stay Hungry.
Weiss acted the rock and roll part, too. Weiss’ personality and love for the music made it easy for music celebrities to open up to him. As Gene Simmons of KISS put it: "Mark Weiss is a rock star. If he didn't have a camera hanging around his neck, it would be a Les Paul guitar."
