Country great, who died in January, spent the last six months of his life writing “Satan Is Real: The Ballad of the Louvin Brothers”
Igniter Books recently announced it will publish the late Charlie Louvin’s autobiography next year.
Louvin, who died Jan. 26 after a battle with pancreatic cancer, spent the last six months of his life writing “Satan Is Real: The Ballad of the Louvin Brothers” with Benjamin Whitmer.
Charlie Louvin became a member of the Grand Ole Opry in 1955; he and brother Ira (who died in the mid-1960s) were inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2001.
The Louvin Brothers are perhaps best known for the album “Satan Is Real,” which features such songs as “There’s a Higher Power,” “The Christian Life” and “Are You Afraid to Die.”
