Raveonettes shake things up with ‘Raven in the Grave’
For their new album, “Raven in the Grave” (due April 5 on Vice Records), The Raveonettes have taken what’s being described as a newer, darker trail, leaving behind the surf drum beats and guitar noise they’ve been identified with for years.
“I think we have finally hit on something quite important and different for this album,” Sune Rose Wagner said in a news release issued Feb. 14. “None of the tunes have any real sunshine to them.”
“It has a mood of ethereal defiance,” Sharin Foo added. “It’s the perfect winter soundtrack just in time for spring.”
