Rock critic Robert Christgau is the guest on the Goldmine Magazine Podcast

The famous rock and roll critic Robert Christgau is the guest on the Goldmine Magazine Podcast to discuss his latest books, Is It Still Good To Ya? and Book Reports (both published by Duke University Press).

Is It Still Good To Ya? is filled with Christgau's rock criticism from the last 50 years (well, 1967-2017) and Book Reports is more an accumulation of essays which show his love for reading. Christgau talks about his time at the Village Voice and two particular essays in each book ("Sensualistic, Polytheistic" in Is It Still Good To Ya? and"His Own Shaman" in Book Notes), plus a lot more. It's an interesting chat with rock and roll icon about the personal essence of music.
