The '70s may be long past, but one of the decade's most memorable singer-songwriters — Barry Manilow — is still very much in the here and now with a new DVD and an upcoming tour.

Manilow performs live in his old Brooklyn stomping grounds in his wonderfully entertaining television special, "Barry Manilow: Songs From The Seventies." The special was filmed in September 2007 at the old Navy Yard in Brooklyn, "right down the block from where I grew up in Williamsburg," Manilow explains onstage.

The special premiered on PBS stations across the nation in early December 2007 and will be availabe on DVD Jan. 29. 2008, from Rhino Entertainment.
